Scottish Grime rapper, 21 of North Ayrshire, Scotland drops brand new visuals for his new track taken from his forthcoming album #HWTH on #MMTV. Featuring fellow Rapper MC ''Kief Broonz'' and with the video shot and edited by Australian talent Josh Paton you are guaranteed to fully rate this one if proper dungeon grime music is what you're looking for.
One of the very many reasons why Shadoh is so well received by so many listeners is his direct and in your face style. Every line in every track that he releases is a combination between a taunt to the people who write him off and speak negatively about him and a statement of intent towards those same people and all listeners to not give a damn what they say as he keeps climbing up the ladder and sprinting past milestones. Either support and come along for the ride to the top or receive a middle finger salute and shush!
Whilst many may think this isn't the right approach to take, just look at the numbers and you'll see that for every person lost theres two who truly feel the vibe! This time around, Shadoh has presented the world with #HWTH, an aggy track full of energy, written like a direct confrontation to anyone who might consider getting in his way as he moves forward with promoting his product. You need to look no further than the lines "Im the best rapper up north, no doubting it bud, when I'm showing up punk, be scarce, i know they all talk like their gangster and dons on a track, but in real life tell me who's scared?! Better beware, i wont be shaking a hand for a verse or a beat, ill be asking asking a grand, shit damn, who is it that i think that i am, f**k that, they're s***e and ill charge what i want!!" for your guide to Shadoh's persona as a lyricist and his take no prisoners attitude to his progression in the game!
Backing him up vocally in #HWTH is none other than Kief Broonz, who those who have been following Shadoh for a while will recognise from the smasher "Str8 Up" released back in June. Kief is another floet who doesnt stand on ceremony and will say exactly what he feels no matter what the listener thinks. He wastes no time in making his feelings none, dropping straight in with the line "Kief Broonz chaps, and im back back with a vengeance, im gonna make you stand to attention, we stand for respect, you stand with you necklace!". Much like last time he collabed with Shadoh, Kief kept the vibe and energy of the track on an even keel, no easy task after the pace of the first two verses, with great delivery and lyricism and I hope he features in Shadoh's work and vice versa many more times.
Webbing the whole experience together was the pacing of the video. Filmed and edited by Josh Paton Media, the visuals easily contribute to the whole feel of the project, with great editing and effects that keep your eyes on the screen. Just that alone in a music video is a great achievement as in some cases the track overpowers the visuals and the focus wanders off away from the screen, thus the video becomes forgotten. That is far from the case with Josh's work, and when you consider that Josh is still young, pulling off work of this level, its a great sign that he has a long and prosperous career ahead of him!
Overall this whole project is a top notch effort, all involved perfectly showcased their skills, including producer Harvskyz with his absolute stomper of a beat that sets the standard for the whole track, and for Shadoh it serves as a perfect preview of his upcoming album "Him Wae The Hat", which is currently available for pre order here
